Overview
For Bowel Cancer UK’s annual Shine Bright fundraising appeal, I created three assets for different stages of the supporter journey: an organic Instagram post, a paid Meta ad and an A5 welcome flyer. The aim was to create a consistent campaign look while adapting each asset to its audience and purpose.
The Challenge
The three assets needed to communicate the campaign clearly to different audiences, from existing supporters to people unfamiliar with Bowel Cancer UK, while encouraging donations and ongoing engagement with the campaign.
My role
I developed the visual concepts for the campaign and created the three assets across social media and print. I interpreted the campaign brief and supplied copy, explored how the Star of Hope could work as a visual thread, and adapted the creative approach to suit each audience, format and campaign objective. I also considered brand consistency, accessibility and clarity across the designs.

Visual approach and accessibility
I kept the layouts simple and easy to scan, with clear information hierarchy, readable type sizes and strong colour contrast. I also considered how the designs would work across different formats and screen sizes, while avoiding relying on colour alone to communicate the key messages.
