Bee Valley South East is a small-batch honey business based in the South East of England. The client, a new beehive owner, approached us with no clear vision for the brand’s online presence; he only had a passion for bees and natural products. This project was a close collaboration with a developer who handled the build, while I focused on the full design process from concept first in Canva then to final UI in Figma.

Approach
The client wasn’t sure what they wanted the website to look like, so I started by asking questions to better understand their story, values, and what makes their honey unique. I focused on creating something that felt natural, honest, and a little different. The design needed to reflect their sustainable practices and small-scale production, while being clear and easy to use for visitors.

Design Solution
The design uses soft colours, clean layouts, and simple typography to create a calm and welcoming feel. I kept the structure clear and easy to navigate, with sections that tell the story of the honey, the place it comes from, and the values behind it. The page is responsive and designed with accessibility in mind, making sure it works well across different devices and for all users. The single-page layout includes clear calls to action and room to grow as the business adds more products in the future.

As part of the landing page experience, I designed a simple and unobtrusive pop-up encouraging users to follow Bee Valley South East on social media. The design follows the overall visual style (warm, minimal, and easy to read) with a clear message. It gives users a gentle nudge to stay connected without interrupting their browsing.
